There are some scenes of sexualised nudity in which a woman’s breasts are exposed during scenes of sexual activity.
There is also some moderate sex; however, the scenes lack strong detail. There are also some moderate verbal sex references.

Film review:Translated by www.rabudo-ru.com

A wife who lives in a happy family also has the emptiness behind her husband and children leaving home after breakfast with only housework. In such emptiness, a handsome and bold suitor quickly ascended.

The yellow autumn leaves of Scandinavia, the white of church buildings, and the red of the heroine are picturesque on 35mm film. Bergman’s films really can’t pick out shortcomings in technology. There are no loopholes in tone, composition and splicing. The character dialogue uses a lot of flicks, and the film lens has become a good bystander. The story is about the affair between the wife of a 34 year old psychologist and an archaeologist from Britain. This relationship came very quickly and was laid out by Bergman’s quite concise technique. It is difficult not to surrender to the power of this sudden emotion. It’s an affair and true love. After the psychologist’s family became aware of the affair, the doctor’s response was quite human. And his wife’s guilt is also human.

What the film has been criticized by many film critics is the handling of the character. It has loaded too many things into the hero and thrown the already plump characters into the stereotype of the melodrama. Roger Ebert was particularly distressed. This really dilutes the pure flavor of the film.

But Bergman is still a master of drama. The final choice of the heroine and the hero is to exhaust all their options, because the separation forced by the situation is irreversible. At the end of the film, I really felt this sigh of late love.
